The brief
Damal is a Somali restaurant in Whitechapel, and this was one of the most important sites for the client to get right. It needed to feel like Damal, warm and welcoming, and make it easy for customers to see what is on offer.
The approach
The colours were vibrant and stayed true to the Damal green. For texture and character we drew on the marbling of Mecca, giving the site a sense of place that a template could never match.
The result
A site that looks and feels like the restaurant, and a client who came back for more, including the website for Damal Banqueting.
